WVU's School of Medicine offers two majors for students interested in occupational therapy. The cost of tuition is above average and the student body is made up of at least 28,900 students. The program integrates the WVU School of Medicine's Divisions of Exercise Physiology and Physical Therapy, which provides expanded opportunities and resources for OT students at WVU. The Occupational Therapy Program was founded in May of 1999 and since that time; the program has had more than 350 graduates. Those hoping to be enrolled in this program should apply between November 15th and February 15th to begin classes in June. While the WVU Division does not offer an online program, a distance education program is in the works.

Mountain State University (Beckley)
MSU in Beckley offers OT students the opportunity to earn their Associate's, Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy. Tuition rates are lower than average and affordable housing is also available, on campus. More than 5,200 students are enrolled at MSU.

Fairmont State University (Fairmont)
Students in the occupational therapy program can earn their Associate's, Bachelor's or Master's degree from Fairmont State. In addition, FSU offers reasonably priced tuition fees and affordable on-campus housing options are available. Currently, more than 4,900 students are enrolled at FSU.

Marshall University (Huntington)
Individuals who wish to earn a degree in occupational therapy can get an Associate's, Bachelor's Master's and doctoral degree at MU in Huntington. This university offers average tuition prices for the state of West Virginia. ROTC programs are available for those interested in furthering their education in occupational therapy. In addition, Marshall University has a student population of more than 13,800 students.

University of Charleston (Charleston)
The University of Charleston offers ROTC programs, as well as, the opportunity for students to earn an Associate's, Bachelor's, Master's or doctoral degree in OT. More than 1,500 students are enrolled at the U of C in Charleston, WV. This university offers expensive tuition prices with options for affordable housing, on campus.
