Residents of Iowa who are interested in possibly pursuing a career in behavioral therapy will be extremely happy to know that there are constantly new positions open in the field. Iowa is one of those states that has such a vast need for behavioral therapists that qualified individuals are readily snapped up and put to work. As such, behavioral therapists in the state make very lucrative salaries and have a wide range of jobs to choose from. This means that with the right combination of educational training and experience, all kinds of different jobs in the field open up.

The most common type of behavioral therapy work that people in the field pursue is clinical work. This entails the kind of jobs that most people think of when they think of therapists—working one on one in an office setting with patients. Most successful behavioral psychologists have at least a master’s degree in the field, though a PhD or doctoral degree is much more common. Education does take a long time to obtain, but most build slowly as they further pursue their educations. You must choose the path that is right for you.
